Since I learned more about Jamaican culture, many things have made me fall in love with this island, its lush landscapes, its attractive food, its history, but what I like most about this land is its music that has prevailed intact through time as a soul.

One of the most influential critical elements in Jamaican musical culture is the Nyabinghi drums, this type of percussion emerged in Rastafarian ceremonies represented by three types of drums that symbolize life, They are arranged like this: "Pope Smasher" or "bass" or "thunder" The second drum is the "fuse" which represents the heart, the "akete" (also known as the "repeater") which represents reasoning

the word nyahbinghi means "black victory" (nyah = black; binghi = victory).

according to Rastafarian belief, Jah blessed, guided, and gave life to a nineteenth-century woman in Uganda named Muhumusa. This was the forerunner of the rebellion movement against the colonial authorities of Africa.

The Nyahbinghi Order is one of the first Rastafari Mansions and is considered one of the strictest in its beliefs.

The Nyahbinghi is the ancient music, the rhythm that each one carries internally in the heart, for me it is the music of the angels, listening to these delicious sounds are a way to cleanse ourselves from spiritual contamination.

Rastafarian lifestyleIt represents the mystical power of the Most High to impart justice throughout the universe. It is through prayer, music and biblical reasoning that the Rastaman sings bingi, calling on the forces of nature to destroy the powers of evil.

Niyabinghi music works like Rastafarian Ceremonial music but many musicians like Bob Marley, and even people outside of Rastafarian like Prince Buster and Jimmy Cliff have been using Niyabinghi percussions extensively in their recordings.

In the moments of my day to day that I wake up a little subdued, I like to listen to the Nyabinghi Instrumental, it is nice to feel the percussions. and wake up the mind ..

one of my favorite singers when it comes to these stimulating sounds is Ras Michael ..

This Jamaican-born Reggae singer whose original name is Michael George Henry OD, 77, is a specialist in the beautiful melodies of Nyabinghi.

About three months ago this musician released his most recent musical production at 77 years of age with great force and energy called Live By The Spirit.
