Hi steemit
- Is it not funny or strange that what ought to be a disadvantage and disapointment from the government part is now yielding income for others?
Oyun is a village in kwara state located along the state polytechnic and the university teaching hospital, a federal road runs along it called Old Jebba road that leads motorist outside the state.
Although the total supply of electricity in the state and country at large is low, this part completely lacks supply, though you can see the poles and electric lines, light comes like once in 3 weeks, sometimes one can go a month without light.
Villagers who live here are aged adults and have no use of light and are used to no power supply but the youth and small scale businesses uses generators to supply energy for their businesses.
Charging of phones is another business where people have shops with small generators to charge phones for their customers at a token. In this shop here phones are charged at 50-70 naira and they can have upto 200 customers daily making an average sum of 10,000 naira daily using as little as 500 naira for fuel to power the generator.
