Carissa carandas

We have three trees, two at my village home and one at my father-in-law's home. It is a hard kind little sized fruit and I found these three at my home about three-meter height as I could jump and grab the fruit from the top branches. As far as I could remember, I never found any yellow leaves on these trees and the tree looks amazing after a rain.

I love the tree as a whole, white little flower among thousands of green leaves is absolutely amazing to look and the fruits when it becomes red meaning the same to me (fruits are green when raw).

Each of the plants we have more than five years old and they provide a huge amount of fruits each year during the rainy season.

We use this fruit to make pickles but not bad test as raw with salt although, it is a bit-sour taste not bad and much similar to Cherry look.

I hurt my hand several times by this shrubby & thorny tree above.

Health Benefit:
There are many health benefits of this little fruit. It is beneficial for Heart patients and those who got diabetics. If you like to lose weight you could have this fruit as well and as it is full of vitamin C, it would help to increase your eating needs besides, seasonal cold and fever would keep them away if you consume this fruit. I know it helps to prevent scabies and several kinds of skin diseases.
