In search of mushrooms - Coprinus comatus

in hive-148441 •  5 years ago

In recent days it has rained a lot in northern Spain, so I decided to go out in search of some mushrooms to add to my photo gallery, and as expected thanks to so much humidity I found an area full of a species that until now I did not know.

This mushroom is known as Monte Chipirón (Coprinus comatus), and as you can see in the photograph, they are usually born in a group of up to seven mushrooms, their white color together with the scales that they cover make it quite striking to the eye and easy to recognize .

In these images you can see the hat, which is already detached from the tube to which it is born glued completely, here the mushroom has a slightly worn appearance and filaments, since over the days its collation becomes darker.

This trio of mushrooms are very young yet, we can notice it for its obvious small size, in addition to the detail of the hat that is attached to the tube, here the small scales are clearer and in the smallest fungi they have not yet formed, interestingly we have Three mushrooms born on different days.

In the following images, in the first upper row we can see that the mushroom is quite round, small and with a sepia color, the tube is short, leaving the small fungus very close to the ground, the scales are pronounced of a dark brown color, making a great contrast with the light color of the mushroom.

On the other hand in the bottom row we have his partner what is completely the opposite, with the hat completely detached, filamentous, with scarce scales having a more yellowish color and a long thin tube, denotes great differences between them.

And finally I show this mushroom duo, I found them a little more separated than the other groups, they make a great couple with a sepia color and their hats more open than the rest, here it shows how the scales only remain in the tip of their hats, the ring under them more pronounced and easy to observe.

I love mushrooms.
Do you know that their are places on planet Earth where there is no mushrooms?

Yes, mushrooms need a lot of rain and humidity to be born. Thanks for comment.
