Focus on the Good

It's been a difficult week for everyone. Things will undoubtably get worse before they get better as the world embraces new challenges with unfamiliar situations related to the Coronavirus.

To maintain balance, please take time to find and focus on the good in your lives. Personally, I find peace in nature and sending time outdoors.

"Potted Coleus from last year"

I am happy to provide an update on the "rabbit-chomped" hyacinths pictured in my post last week and show they have bloomed with a little help from Mother Nature's rains and applications of blood meal to deter further bunny feedings!

This was the "before" image of the hyacinth from last week.

We had the lawn aerated to help the grass grow, though Fall is the preferred time to do this. Aeration involves "perforating" the soil with small holes so that air, water, and nutrients can penetrate down to the roots of the grass.

We replaced the bird feeder and bought some higher grade birdseed containing more sunflower and thistle seeds for the #featheredfriends who will be building nests and mating soon.

Mr. Cardinal approved the new feeder and contents! It's such a challenge for me to get quality photos of birds.

The creek that runs in the yard looks muddy after a couple days of rainfall. The scenery is not very pretty yet, as we await the lush leaves and green foliage to fill in.

So far it will only benefit me and my finances. Way less costs now the children stay home, we can sleep till 4 am and there's no need to fight about toilet paper either.
I wish you a lot of me-time and joy with your plants. 💕

Thank goodness because the hyacinths are the only signs of Spring blossoming in my yard so far! We still have freezing temperatures at night and it's not unusual to through mid April. How's everything going in Thailand? @bigsambucca

We are doing better then expected spring is here and the weather is always warm over here , i do think that is helping the country a lot with the COVID-19

I was reading a article and this is one section i saw in this article....

"On the other hand it is good to know that the Wuhan virus or corona virus is not heat resistant and dies at a temperature of 26 to 27 degrees. Therefore, drink plenty of hot water such as tea and herbs. It's not a cure, but it's good for the body. Drinking hot water is effective for killing all viruses."

Wow! The hyacinth is beautiful! It's amazing how fast it bloomed from your last post! Thank you for sharing this with us. And you are right. We need to focus on the good, on the brighter side.

I know, it has been chaotic with news regarding Covid-19, even depressing. I just watched a video of the emotional goodbye of the wife of a Hospital Director who also died because of the virus. Truly devastating scene. 😭
