As we all know that the English Premier league has come into conclusion just yesterday. It was a lot of dramas experienced yesterday. The race for the champions league spot and the clubs fighting to stay in the English top flight football for next season. Chelsea and Manchester united made the top 4 while Aston Villa escaped being relegated.
Let me not digress too much on talking about most of the clubs but let me focus on why Frank Lampard deserves to be EPL coach of the season. These are some of the reason I feel why Frank Lampard should be granted the EPL player of season.
- Transfer Ban:-In the beginning of last season Chelsea fc were handed a transfer ban due to the fact that they signed an under 18 teenagers before by giving them professional contract. After this ban, Sarri who was the manager of Chelsea then left for Juventus, then Chelsea fc became managerless. No manager wanted to take the risk of managing chelsea fc without transfer or being unable to sign the players of their own for the just concluded season. But Lampard who was still the manager of Derby County then resigned and signed for Chelsea fc on 3years contract. This is one of the reasons I think he should be handed EPL manager of the season
- Making use of loan and academic players :- After Chelsea fc agreed to serve their ban, Lampard only sees the only way to make up this just concluded season was by making use of academic and loaned olayerra like Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount who were loaned to Aston villa and Derby county respectively. After the season ended, Abraham and Mount stats this just concluded season were so amazing with Abraham raking up to 15 goals in the top flight season in the English premier league. And also, Reece and Zouma have really tried this season in the defense of Chelsea but a little bit shaky. What I am trying to say is, Lampard groomed these young lads and finished in the top 4.
- Hazard departure :-Hazard left for Real Madrid at the end of last season since he signed for Chelsea fc immediately Chelsea fc won the champions league. Since that time, he has been the engine room of Chelsea fc with a lot goals and assists. Everybody knew including. Chelsea fc fans never thought that chelsea could even make top 4 with our most important player left for Madrid. But Lampard was able to work out a team work in Pulisic,Willian, Abraham and Mount with a lot stats and assists among them. Even some pundits most especially Jamie Redknapp had written off Chelsea never to expect top 4 finish but in reality they made it.
- In conclusion, Frank Lampard is the second English manager to take champions league spot after Harry Redknapp did with Tottenham. All in all, alot manager if checking their factors they also deserve the award too but I guess Frank Lampard deserves it more.
