Have you been into such places where you can see the horizons, where the sun is meeting the ocean? I have been to many places in my life, met many people, saw different cultures. I always prefer suburban life rather than city life but because of my lifestyle, I have to stay in the big city.
When I was in Bangladesh, I have been in many places. I have seen the golden sun, I have seen how fluffy clouds cover the peak of the large mountain. I saw waves, I walked on the largest sandy sea-shore. I felt the vastness of the sky, I felt the deep darkness of the sea, I saw the pride of the mountains for their heights.
Today I am going to take you port of Chittagong, the location is known as Chittagong Naval Academy. I don't know the current situation in this area because I have been there 5-6 years back. So, these images are from my golden evergreen memory diary.
Chittagong port is the largest port of Bangladesh and 50% of Bangladesh's economy depends on this port if I am not wrong. I was privileged by my uncle to explore this restricted Naval Academy area (it was restricted for general people) as he is a Navy Officer. Now he stands beside our prime minister which made me feel so proud.
This is actually the Karnafully river which is connected with the Bay Of Bengal which was on 1 km from here. These were not large ships, they were small ships with goodies. Maximum are oil ships, some carried goods, raw materials. If you want to see large ships, you have to take a small boat and have to go to the sea to see them because large ships can't anchor here.
I think these ships are known as supercarrier or ferries.
The afternoon and evening time is perfect if you want to explore this marine life. I have seen some boats were carrying sands from one place to another. The medium ships were full of cement oil. Dockyard always remains busy loading, unloading goods. I wonder how marine life looks like. I have heard many stories from my uncle, he used to stay in the sea for 6 months, he traveled to a lot of places, he saw the deep sea, sharks, dolphins and dealt a storm.
I want to hear a real story from a sailor...
I saw the sunset, I inhaled the south sea breeze, I saw people and their life. It was an amazing experience. I guess nobody can ever imagine how I felt at that moment.
Those small fishing trawlers were amazing to look at and waves that were created by them.
But I love watching the calm sea.
I feel blessed that I have been into many places, god gave me enormous chances to explore the beauty of this world. Maybe I will get so many chances in the near future, not today; maybe tomorrow right!!!!
Some pictures are not clearly visible enough because of low resolution, low light, and old images.
