Hello everyone, Hope you are having a good day...
The Sun does not realize how wonderful it is until after a room is made.
Louis Kahn
Well, architects design buildings but it is not complete until people started to live there. We design for people, so our design isn't finished until someone starts using it.
Leading a self-quarantine life is different but the most painful thing is for me is wearing a mask but I am now forced to do it to keep myself safe. After staying 5 days at home locked up, today I went outside, no I didn't leave my apartment complex, I just stayed away from social contacts.
I live in Kharkiv oblast, in a studio apartment. Almost every apartment of this building is a studio apartment, sizes are different. This is a seven-storied building with a parking area and children zone.
Two fire scapes and almost 300 apartments including one office area and janitor.

This is one of the most colorful buildings in Kharkiv constructed by the well-known developer. They have 3 residential projects in Kharkiv city but this one is their first and small project among all.
If you try to visualize this building far away, you will understand why this building is unique among other buildings. In fact, this is one and only colorful buildings in the neighborhood plus one of the first modern apartment buildings in this residential area.
Concept :
The concept of the building was colors because the name of the building is акварель which means watercolor. That's why the exterior of the building is colorful. Mainly, they maintained three basic colors called red, yellow and orange.
This is the children's play zone, normally this zone remains full, I can hear children's voices from my apartment but now because of quarantine, this zone is empty.

To be honest, I never observed the details of this building until now. Because of leading a self-quarantined life, I am noticing everything which I never noticed before.
This building was constructed in 2015, not a very old building. This is basically an L-Shaped linear building or I can say two rectangles interlock with each other.

I was feeling low so I went out for a walk. I sat on the bench of the children's zone and was noticing the entire building. I was thinking about why I didn't notice this building until now, perhaps I forgot.

I personally like this fire escape, well designed...
I started learning so many things, one of the things among them is simplicity. As an architect, I used to do complex design, but later I understood, sometimes simplicity can be the solution and leads to the way of sophistication. Yes, design can be complex and simple as well, but the beauty is when each and every part design talks.
Nothing in this world is more simple and cheaper than making cities that provide better for people.

I like the colours but not the materials used... those are aluminium plates or something like that, right?
