Working from home is easy

It took a couple weeks, but we now are the proud parents of an unemployed millennial that sleeps on the couch. I don't actually know what generation she is in - anyone know?

Whatever it is, she is the future and I hope that she will have the opportunity to find work that she loves - instead of a job.

There is a difference.

A lot of people avoid work because they mistakingly identify it as a job, something one does for money alone. Real work however can go completely unpaid other than for the intrinsic value one finds in it. An artist for example could paint for work, but never sell a piece or potentially, never show another living soul.

Work is something one takes responsibility for, with no scapegoats, because it is done for the self - even when others benefit.

As you can see, my daughter is a bit worn out from all the remote work, although she doesn't do it. Having us here but occupied is hard on her. You can also see the benefits of working from home - the day is almost over and my wife is still in pyjamas.

No such luck for me, as my work continues on for the day and into the night. It is okay though, because there is a reason beyond money, although that is one of the needs as well. I am lucky - I like what I do, so they are work, not jobs.

We spend 50 odd years working for money, may as well do something we like.

One day I finally decided to put pants on, ended up taking them away 5 minutes later when taking a nap. Should've just stayed without pants.

Pants are for suckers.
