I think no one can say this honestly these days that social media doesn't influence them. Because social media became so vast, it influences us one way or another. And many times we don't even realize it. A simple ad, any sponsored video, or so-called influencers; every other thing can make it happen.
And if I especially talk about comparison, competition, jealousy then I think we all would agree on this point that it's true. Social media make us do that even if we don't want to, even if we want to make us safe. That's why our self-esteem is in danger, at least for people of young age.
Let's see what can help us to keep a healthy balance!
Stop following things that make you feel bad and don't add any positive value. It can be your friend, any influencer, or anything else. Once you do this, you will feel a lot refreshing; I can guarantee you.
Bring positivity through social media. Spread the positive message, follow those who talk positively. As long as you surround by positive-minded people your self-esteem will be safe.
Accept the fact that what you are seeing on social media is not always true. People love to show their perfect face, wonderful life. But that's not true, we know that. But it's time to remind us that strongly.
We can take control over how social media influences us a lot more than we think. It's actually in our hands what we want to do with it, how we want to make us feel. But unfortunately, we take this whole thing lightly and end up having a lot of problems related to our self-esteem. I hope following these simple things can help us!
