Steem Foods: Extending Help by Giving Food to a Family in Need

Food is the most important thing a human need. The Philippines has long been suffering from starvation and poverty. And many of the Filipino children strive to have a proper meal.

I am not rich nor I don't have an abundant life, but I have a big heart, specially to the in need. I came to this family not because I have a lot but I wanted to share. A small help might lighten up the burden they have been experiencing.

Today let me share a wonderful and fulfilling day. Sharing food to people in need is one thing that makes me the happiest.

Walking in the scorching sun didn't bother me. The sweat that covered my face didn't matter coz all I wanted was to reach this family's house.

Heavy food packages, rice and other stuff were what we had, but reaching their house and giving the things we brought was something I was excited about. Looking at the mothers face and seeing how happy she was, was something I was proud about.

A big smile and words of gratitude were what we received from her. She will now no longer have a hard time to look for food for her family. And for a while we can make her rest from all the struggle her family is facing.

Many of Filipinos are just like this family, working hard day and night just to get by. Everyday is a struggle of survival. But many of us continue to face the challenges everyday. Lack of food and poverty is something that needs a solution, but until now remains a problem.
