It is my daily routine that after waking up at 5:30 in the morning I cut papaya for everyone and this is our first diet of the day. But today when I saw that 4 bananas are laying overripe and not in the condition to be eaten straight away, I thought why not make a shake and leave the papaya for tomorrow!
So this morning a banana shake was made "Oats Banana Shake with Soy Milk" and it was accompanied by chikoo (sapota) slices .
Was in a bit of a hurry today, so the photo was not good, please ignore the photos and enjoy the Banana Shake.
Making of Banana Shake
It is very easy to make, and you must have made it sometime. I often make banana recipes like Banana Bread, Banana Cake, Shake, Pancake etc. only when the bananas lying around overripe, and it is difficult to eat them straight as there is no question of throwing them away!
Ingredients (4 servings)
- 4 well ripe bananas
- Oats a little less than 1/2 cup
- Plant milk 4 cups (I used soy milk)
- Water 1.5 cup
- Sugar to taste
How to make
I put everything in a blender and blended it. After tasting a little, sugar can be added as per need if required. If you do not want to add sugar, it will work because well ripe bananas are sweet in taste itself. Jaggery/date/maple syrup can also be used instead of sugar.
Since it tastes good if cold, it is better if the milk and water are pre-cooled in the fridge, or you can add ice instead of water.
