Sauteed Squid is a local recipe Filipinos live by. It is very simple and doesn't need a lot of ingredients. Here's how this dish comes together:
Ingredients
1/2 kilo fresh squid (washed)
3 pcs green chili
3 cloves garlic
Vinegar
Oil for sauteing
Water
Salt
Seasoning
Steps
- Heat the pan and add some oil for sauteing.
- Sautee the chili and garlic until flavor comes out.
- Add in the squid.
- Stir until some of the moisture comes out.
- Add water. Usually, half a cup will do but you can add more if you like some sauce for topping your rice.
- Season with vinegar, salt, and seasoning (MSG) according to taste.
- Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until squid is tender.
- Serve with rice.
