Sauteed Squid

Sauteed Squid is a local recipe Filipinos live by. It is very simple and doesn't need a lot of ingredients. Here's how this dish comes together:

Ingredients

1/2 kilo fresh squid (washed)
3 pcs green chili
3 cloves garlic
Vinegar
Oil for sauteing
Water
Salt
Seasoning

Steps

  1. Heat the pan and add some oil for sauteing.
  2. Sautee the chili and garlic until flavor comes out.
  3. Add in the squid.
  4. Stir until some of the moisture comes out.
  5. Add water. Usually, half a cup will do but you can add more if you like some sauce for topping your rice.
  6. Season with vinegar, salt, and seasoning (MSG) according to taste.
  7. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until squid is tender.
  8. Serve with rice.
