Hello Foodies!
Today I will share about my food activities for Sep 6, 2021. I was motivated to cook something delicious today. I had that foodie-vibes since I woke up. Let me share with you what I did to satisfy my food cravings.
Morning
I had some leftover Malai Boti from the other night. I shared about the barbeque night a day ago. I am big on using leftovers and creating something new out of them. So today, I decided to make an egg wrap for breakfast.
I sauteed some onions, tomatoes, and mushrooms in olive oil. I then shredded the Malai Boti and added it to the mixture. Added some Italian spices. Then I made a fluffy omelet and wrapped the mixture inside.
After that, I toasted some bread slices. And breakfast was ready. Here are a few pictures:
Afternoon
In the afternoon, I was home alone. So I decided to not cook anything and save energy for dinner. It was time to finish another leftover. I cooked Khichri with mutton gravy last night. Khichri is a dish similar to Risotto but I cooked it in Pakistani style with added flavors. Below is a picture of my lunch plate.
Visit to the Supermarket
After lunch, I went to the supermarket because there were no snacks in the home and kids demand them all the time. I had to buy some other grocery stuff but mainly I went for snacks. Below is the list of the items that I purchased with the cost mentioned along.

On the way back, my husband joined us too. He was hungry so we bought a pizza from a local fast food shop. The shop's name was Italiano. It was newly opened so we were a little concerned about the taste. We started eating it in the car and the taste was extremely good. The rates were low too for a pizza this large.
I was extremely full after eating a lot in the afternoon.
Night
We decided to have dinner a little late. Tonight, I decided to make pea rice with kababs. In Urdu we call it, Mattar Chawal + Aaloo ki tikki.
I soaked the rice and put the peas and potatoes on the boil.
Meanwhile, I cut onions, tomatoes, prepared ginger garlic chili paste.
Sauteed the onions until golden. Added tomatoes and paste. Sauteed again for a while. Then I added peas and chicken stock.
After few minutes, I added rice and let them cook.
Meanwhile, I mashed potatoes and peas that I put on the boil and added some onions and coriander leaves to them. Added some spices and made kababs.
When I was finished frying them, the rice was also ready.
Trust me the combination is so good. I also prepared some chutney.
The dinner was extremely delicious. We enjoyed ourselves a lot.
Ended the day, we tea.
