Sundays are for baking.. Am I right?
Here is how I make my crumble cake. Such an indulgent treat.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- Butter/margarine
- Brown sugar with mollasses
- Granulated white sugar
- Salt
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla extract
- Powder sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Method
In a bow, combine the brown sugar and granulated white sugar and cinnamon.
Melt some butter and mix in, whisking together.
Take 1/2 cup all purpose flour and pour in and mix together.
Set aside.
In a separate bowl, combine the rest of the flour with some salt, baking powder and baking soda.
Take another bowl, combine the rest of the butter/margarine, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract and whisk together. And the flour and fold into the mixture.
Prepare your baking tray and spread out the flour mixture
Spread the mixture of brown sugar on top.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Bake the cake for approximately 45mins
Let the cake cool for an hour and sprinkle confectionery sugar on top.
