Today is another wonderful day for me .I got a chance to spend my holidays in a top hotel in Galle.Sri Lanka is a standout in the region. In the Galle hills, the Kahanda Kanda hotel is an attractively styled and couples-oriented boutique hotel. It has ten beautiful suites surrounded by tropical, tea-fringed gardens. Its interiors are a lesson in beautiful tropical style that is both timeless and contemporary.
Its isolated hilltop setting, on a 12-acre working tea farm 15 minutes from the south coast beaches and 30 minutes east of Galle, is a true winner. It's unique and serene, and it's close enough to the big attractions but far enough away to feel like a retreat. Beaches like Kabalana, which are slightly less popular, are easily accessible, and the surf at Weligama is only a 20-minute drive away. The sister hotel, KK Beach, is five miles away and ideal for nighttime strolls and sundowners.
When you dine in the glass-balconied extension of the dining pavilion, you'll feel as if you're floating above the trees, and the wonderful meal is all than deserving of such a dramatic setting. The day begins with a little buffet of free-flowing fruit, curd, and muesli, as well as à la carte selections like Sri Lankan hoppers and old-fashioned poached eggs.
The daily-changing lunch and supper set menus always feature a Sri Lankan choice and celebrate international fusion cuisine, with a strong influence from Thailand, where some of the chefs were trained. Guests congregate in the living pavilion for social pre-dinner cocktails; start your evening with the house cocktail, a wicked concoction of rum, lychee, and passion fruit.
