Club5050 Food Diary Game 3-27-2022: Eating Dinner at Manang Fe Bbq

in hive-148497 •  3 years ago

Another day full of blessings and that includes the food that we eat every day. Food is essential to all of us especially we need to eat 3 times a day, the most, or some eat less or more times each day. But no matter how many times in a day we eat, we make sure that it is beneficial into our body as energy resources.

We have a lot of food preferences but so far for me, as long as it's less to not sweet, I would love it. No offense to sweet lovers but I prefer savory and spicy taste of my food. I ate ice cream and cakes but they are not my favorite. I'm weird. Maybe. I know.

I was craving for a bbq chicken even though we just had bbq party last week. Most of the times that I am not feeling well, I always love to eat chicken bbq or crispy fried chicken. That's my comfort food. I wasn't feeling great today and since Wednesday afternoon after I had my booster shot (phizer) for covid-19. I was feeling dizzy, having colds, and muscle weakness...all of these are side effects of the vaccine based on what I have read.

Going back to topic, Manang Fe Bbq is one of the famous bbq place in our city. They actually have 3 branches that I have visited, one in brgy. Gun-ob, another one in brgy. Basak (where I live), and another in brgy. Marigondon. These 3 places have a satisfying taste of bbq. Maybe they have other branches which I do not know.

Because this branch is a walking distance to where I live, we often come to have dinner or sometimes we just buy for take out when cravings kicked in. They have the best value of food and a relaxing venue.

When my husband and I arrived at the place, we directly ordered our favorite bbq. I had a quarter leg chicken part, chicken liver, 2 pieces pork bbq, and squid rolls (I like this too!). My husband @steemitcebu had the breast part of the chicken, chorizo, 4 pieces bbq. I actually had 4 hanging rice while he had 3 hanging rice.

While waiting for our food, I got chance to take pictures of the prices posted on the wall. Also sharing with you the relaxing set up and venue of the bbq place.

Before our bbq came, they first served us hanging rice, plates made of bamboo covered with plastic for easy cleaning and no need to wash, and also they gave us bbq sauce, chili, lemon and plastic for hand cover since they don't use utensils like fork and spoon. Filipinos love eating using bare hand.

When the food came, we started our dinner with satisfaction every bite. We were the second costumers came and lots of people came after us.

They actually have live band every day that starts at 6pm but that time we finished our food just before the six and the singer was still setting up. But it's okay...we still enjoyed our food. We then asked for the bill that total us 720 pesos or roughly 37.40 steem. As of today, 1 steem is equivalent to 19.99 steem.

After we ate, we waited for our take out for my sister and Mama. The bill we payed includes the take out pay. You can see as well on the bottom pictures that they have a good space for parking and it's very close to the street.

The location of Manang Fe BBQ is right across the City Time Square and beside Jollibee Basak branch. Hopefully you can go and visit.
