Hello steemians and food lovers, I'm glad posting again in the steemfoods community. This time, I'll be talking about my favorite fish shop. This is for participation in the ongoing steemfoods contest. I hope you find it interesting.

  • Why is Ugo-Pee Frozen Store my favorite?

Firstly, it's close. proximity is a key factor in deciding my favorite fish shop. This fish shop is just 5-7 minutes walk from my house.

Next, the shop owner is a very friendly lady. She takes time to attend to her customers and also offer directions for items she doesn't have.

Thirdly, the sell at really good prices.

Furthermore, the area where the shop is located is also neat and alluring, compared to some other areas, littered with dirt, where fishes are sold.

Another reason why they're my favorite is because their fishes are ice cold. After buying from them, it can last some hours outside a fridge or freezer or cold room and still remain fresh. During this time however, the iced fish will be de-frosting.

Also, because their fishes are ice cold, they're fresh.

  • Fish prices

The shiny nose fish is sold for ₦700 while

Mackerel fish ranges from ₦500 - ₦700 according to size.

  • My purchase for the competition

For this contest, I bought Mackerel fish. It cost ₦500. The lady accepted cash though she issued no receipt. She neatly cut the fish into 6 pieces.

At my request, she weighed the fish I bought and it was a little above 1kg. It weighed about 1.1 kg.

  • How often do I purchase from this shop?

Well, I visit this fish shop as often as I need fish to cook. Fact is, in the house, I'm not the only one who cooks in the house. I not even the one who cooks the most. So let me just state my visit to this store as often as once in a month. This is because I don't always cook and it's not always fish.

Kindly note: I'll detail the recipe of the food I prepared together with the fish in another post.
