I did pretty well indeed at Rio.

Rio Supermarket opened in Cumana a week ago approximately. My husband and I had high expectations and, paradoxically, a lot of skepticism about this supermarket, since the comments seemed to be fiction. What reviews? Well, it was said that Rio was going to bankrupt all food stores, since its variety of products, quality and offers were simply unbeatable.

Let me show the equivalent prices for the products on my receipt. I made a table in Excel where I show the prices in bolivars, dollars and SBD.:

The cabbages were super fresh and ecocnomical.

The chicken, well, pretty good and the lowest prices I have found in Cumaná (for frozen chicken).

The beef was also the lowest price I have seen in Cumaná. I bought a whole piece to bake it on the weekend. Look:

The lot of this brand of coffee is super delicious. Recommended.

Finally, let me tell you about my first impressions here at Rio, during my first and short visit.

The dried fruit and nut section is quite small, but this is understandable given that the Cumanese public is not the most sympathetic to the purchase of such products.

In this section I fell in love with the apricot raisins, although I did not buy them, as they were out of my budget. Another time.

$2.86 and looking good :D Yum, yum!

The meat section was well stocked. I decided to buy a piece of meat to bake on the weekend.

The beef was excellent value, although the ground beef, for example, was greasy. In this regard, I strongly criticize that the label said prime beef. It wasn't.

I also found condensed milk at really low price. I'll tell you about the quality when Iuse it.

The store opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 8 p.m. every day, including Sundays.

As you can see, it was evening when I finished my shopping. And so I couldn't get a good picture.

It was a nice shopping experience in general. But the offers are not so good, so you have to be careful. Am I coming back? Definitely. I need those apricot raisins in my life.
