Hi Food Community, it's been A while since I have done a proper grocery shop, Since our kitchen thing was broken I kind of only bought one meal at a time.

The Haul:

  • Two Packs of microwave rice, (just the Sainsbury's generic brand) 2x £0.60 = £1.20
I actually already ate both of them. I know it would work out cheaper and better for the environment to boil it at home, but it is just the best to chuck in your bag and take to work as a side to anything you make with it. obviously that only works if your work has a microwave.

  • Mc Cain BBQ Fries £3.00
I haven't tried yet, which is a good thing because that means I opted for the healthy options

  • Frozen Blueberries £2.00
I use them as one of the fruit options in my protein smoothies. Also a much cheaper option than dragon fruit and açai pulp, which I also love

  • Avocado £1.50
I am an avocado addict, lol and intending to use them in salad

  • Sacla Pasta sauce with whole cherry tomatoes £2.50
this is my all-time favourite pasta sauce and I normally opt for the option with chilli. I like spicy but I would hardly call this sauce spicy, there's a hint of chilli. This was on sale a few weeks back for £1 and I didn't have the brains to buy in bulk lol... sucks for me

This is what I am planning to make a nice salad with:

  • Walnut halves £7.00
  • baby spinach £1.50
  • Oranges £2.00
I use them for dressing, with salt, agave syrup and olive oil
  • Mango £3.00
    this was on sale

what is missing is some type of vegan cheese which I will try to get at Planet organic. My favourite salad bar in Munich always had a salad with goats cheese and grapes or mangos and walnuts so I wanna recreate this with vegan cheese.

  • Bananas £0.80

Dessert

  • Strawberries £2.00

My sweet tooth got me and I ate them with Agave syrup and a little coconut cream on top

What I had for dinner that day ( and resisted the temptation of making the fries haha:

  • Coconut cream £1.00
  • Tofu XL £3.00
  • Red Thai Curry paste £1.00
  • Baby Vegetable Stir fry £2.50

This made about three portions with rice.

I hope you find it interesting what these things cost at a "normal" Supermarket in London, UK

Total Price: £32.80
