Weekend is here again and time to have some relaxing time while cooking up some yummy food!
After couple of weeks of bad tomatoes quality here in Mauritius, we are again getting some top ones!
Time to enjoy them!

Just for the knowledge ; Tomatoes are fruits, but considered vegetables by nutritionists out there!
Nutritional Values
Tomatoes are loaded with Lycopene, which gives them that lovely bright color and protect them from ultraviolet sun rays!
So, when eating tomatoes, you also protect your cells from damage, isn't it amazing !?
Potassium, Vitamin B and E are very much present in tomatoes among others.

Get ready to be shocked...
There's over 10,000 cultivars of tomatoes across the world...yes friends...over 10k!
And the most famous and used ones are :
Grape Tomatoes / Beefsteak Tomatoes / Roma Tomatoes / Cherry Tomatoes / Heirloom Tomatoes / Cocktail Tomatoes
To avoid if...
As tomatoes have malic acid and citric acid, if you have gastric problems it is better to avoid them!
Eating excessive tomatoes will cause heart burn or acid reflux due to excess gastric acid in the stomach.
Better take well note of this!
Other than this little acid issue of tomatoes, overall it is adviced to eat them regularly as generally they are beneficial for ones health!
Conclusion
From my side...tomatoes will be very much present as from today in my dishes...
