Step 1

Put the washed pot on the your cooking medium, as you can see mine is firewood which is a local method that is really popular in this part of the country.

Step 2:

Put some quality of red oil populary known as palm oil, it's a type of oil popular in this part of the world. It's called red oil because it's red in color and it's called palm Oil because it was extracted from Palm kernel/ Palm fruit. The quantity of oil depends on the quality and quantity of the okro soup you are preparing.

Step 3

Wait until the Oil start to gets hot, add your sliced onion bulbs into the pot and fry by stirring the sliced Onions in the hot oil.

Step 4:

Pound the okro together with the pepper 🌶️ in any pounding equipment you have, as for me I use the local mortal and pestle used in this part of the world to pound my okro seed with the pepper 🌶️. Then add the combination of the okro and the pepper into the pot containing the fried Onions just as I did 👇then stir to evenly mix up the pounded okro with the fried onions and red Oil like I did 👇.

Step 5

If the soup is thick? Add little water but not the thick the sweeter the okro soup, close the pot and wait for 20 minute then add your spice which are maggi, Grinded Crayfish and a little salt to improve the taste of the soup.

Step 6

After some minutes I finally put my the washed and sliced Ugu leave in to the soup then I added the boiled fish last because I don't want the fish to shattered and scattered in smaller pieces in the pot of soup
