Today, I will share with you a typical food from the Aceh region, Indonesia. namely Mie Aceh.
Acehnese spicy noodle dish in Indonesia. Thick yellow noodles with sliced beef, mutton or seafood (shrimp and squid) served in a savory and spicy curry-type soup. Mi aceh is usually topped with fried onions and served with emping, chopped onion, cucumber, and lime.
The curry-based gravy is influenced by Indian cuisine, while the noodles are influenced by Chinese cuisine. The preference for mutton and beef shows Islamic values that require eating halal food.
