Cream Cheese Ensaymada
Hiya Everyone! Tori here! Today, I'll be showcasing a popular christmas season treat. Ensaymada is a soft pastry made with your usual dough ingredients, it is then baked and topped with butter, sugar, and grated cheese. It goes way back to the Spanish regime (sometime betweeen 1565-1898) wherein it is adopted by the locals . The evolved version of Ensaymada today is now a fluffy sort of chiffon cake like texture. In this version, it is topped off with sweet cream cheese mixture (which I adore), and grated cheese as well.
