My name is yakubu peace, I'm the only child of my parents, I started cooking for my family when I was 10years old. When i was growing up i have this passion of becoming a professional chef because I love cooking, anytime my mum is cooking I'm always with her in the kitchen provided I'm at home, as such i got to learn a lot from her cooking skills after that my mum stopped entering the kitchen because she knows I was capable of cooking the best meal for the family.
During the covid-19 brake I enrolled my self into a catering school were I learned how to bake different types of cakes, snacks, drinks and food.and the reason why I went to train myself is because I want to learn more about cooking not just at home but to the would world, and to the glory of God my dream of because a professional chef will come to pass in due time. Because presently I'm seriously working towards that.
Cooking is one of the things that gives me joy, because even if I'm upset the only thing that calm me down is when I'm cooking or baking. I'm so much in love with cooking and right now it has become part of me.
Some of the dishes I prepared
A. Yam porage and dry fish
B. Fresh fish pepper soup mixed with vegetable
C. Smoody fruits drink
D. Egusi soup
E. Traditional wedding cake
My Recipes: Nigeria jollof rice
My best recipe is jollof rice,and when ever I prepare this rice my family members do enjoy it to the fullest.now let me share my Recipes and the steps in which I used in preparing Nigeria jollof rice.
Recipes
Ingredients | Quantity |

Rice | 1cup |
Boiled eggs | 2medium size |
power oil | 1sachet |
tomatoes mix | 1sachet |
Curry powder | 1teaspoon |
Onga chicken Maggi cubes | 5cubes |
Salt | 1teaspoon |
Carrot | to your test |
Pepper | to your test |
Onion | 1medium size |
step1: put two cups of water into a clean pot. Place it on fire then allow the water to boil.
Now add the rice into the boiled water and allow it to perboild for at least 10min.
Pour the perboild rice into a clean bowl, add cool water to it in other to wash out the starch, after washing out the starch, put it inside a servier and allow the water to drain.Step2: put the pot back on fire then pour the power oil into it and allow it to get boiled.
Add the sliced onions into the put and allow it to get fried a bit, then add the tomatoes paste and the granded pepper to it, then allow it to get fried, add a cup of water into the mixture.
Step3: Add maggi cube, curry and salt to the mixture and allow it to boil.
Step3: pour your perboild rice into the mixture and stir it well. Cover the pot and allow it to get cooked.
step5: lastly, add your sliced carrot and stir it. Then you remove it from fire and prepare to enjoy your jollof.
