Greetings macro photography lovers and friends of Steem Lens, today I share with you a session of photographic close-ups of a beautiful millipede.
It is the Trigoniulus corallinus, (scientific name that I located thanks to Google Lens), a beautiful specimen of the millipede family, which has a color that stands out on many backgrounds. Of course, its color is also a warning sign of danger to possible predators, since this specimen can spray you with its somewhat caustic saliva.
That does not take away the beauty and cylindrical perfection of its ringed body and its legs contrasting in a lighter tone. That is what inspired me for this macro session as art. I located a stone slab in the studio in shades of gray, blue and brown as a background for the photos of our friend.
I worked in macro mode, getting closer with the camera. I recognize that the lighting was poor and that affected the sharpness of the photos, but I decided to intervene with filters that would highlight the contrast.
I used Microsoft Photos, applying filters and cropping for better framing.
