Achieving one's goal is the greatest achievement one can make in life. Before we achieve our goals, we must work hard towards developing strategies that would work perfectly for us. We can't just sit down doing nothing and expect to get somewhere.

We must start somewhere to get somewhere. As a steemian, I've been setting goals and targets on this platform which have been working perfectly for me. I've come to s realization that it isn't about working hard but also being consistent.

Why I joined steemit and why I haven't left?

Steemit is a social media platform that pay users for creating contents. As a social media, you can commune or interact with people within or outside the country. You learn from the experiences of others, their way of life and the posts they share. The acquisition of knowledge and Academic improvement are reasons I joined this platform.

I been able to improve in my writing skills and the participation in contests has helped me write more than a thousand words myself, give me confidence to participate in an online essay writing competition and has also exposed me to appealing skills like drawing, cooking, online digital skills and the likes of them. I also joined this platform to be financially independent as a student as the monetary aspect of steemit is doing the talking.

Why would someone have an opportunity to be financially independent and then leaves the opportunity or disregard it no more? I feel and know that steemit is an opportunity for me to be financially buoyant so I have no reasons to leave. By the way, I'm not losing anything. I'm rather gaining a whole lot academically and financially. So knowing this keeps me on the platform. The consistency of others in the platform is another reason I haven't left or plan on leaving.

Did I have the same goal ever since I joined steemit or has my idea changed?

My idea has changed drastically because when I joined this social media, I felt it was all these ponzi scheme site that would just waste your time and end up crashing later. I didn't know it was a social media until early last year. My goals for steemit when I was fully aware of the platform was to help myself financially by joining club5050. My goals hasn't changed but the idea of steemit crashing with my money in no time died never to be resurrected again.

What are my future plans for steemit? Do I wish to power down?

My future plans for steemit is quite massive and elaborate considering steemit future in years to come. My future plan is to become a multiple dolphin as some others are and also be a model, worthy of emulation in the platform. I don't intend powering down having those goals at hand.

I can't achieve my goals through powering down. In fact, I don't think there's any solid reason I have to power down as this steem is my investment for the future in case of emergencies and unforseen occurrence. The reason why I shouldn't power down my steem power is because;

  • I have a future to build and steemit as my investment contribute maximally to the growth of my future plans physically.

  • powering down at times makes someone discouraged and probably leave the platform for good which isn't advisable

  • powering down also limit one's ability to earn support and votes when he creates contents until he's back on track. Some people power down because they are scared of their funds. Steemit is a social media platform that's Blockchain based. That alone should tell you how long lasting it would be.

The progress I've made in achieving my steemit goals

I have lots of goals on steemit of which one is to become a 1× dolphin at the end of this month and I'm working steadily towards achieving that. I organized a challenge on which I'm a great part. This challenge has helped me remain focus, Consistent and engaged on the platform. I set a goal of hitting 500 steem power every month which would help me reach my target of 5k SP. How happy I would be having such a label! With consistency, you can actually make smart moves and hit your target.

In conclusion, steemit is an opportunity for us to invest in ourselves and our future. Even though it's facing some marketing challenge at the moment, we shouldn't give up or have the feeling steemit would come to it end. Everything has its trying period. We just have to do our best to be the best and get the best of outcome.
