Recently, I've talked to a few people about cryptocurrency and Steemit, and for the majority of these people, the optimism seems rather high. I'm capitalizing on this optimism because, in the world of cryptocurrency, optimism goes a long way toward keeping one emotionally and mentally in check.
But, I made the decision to do so since I am aware of those who have negative opinions on Steemit and the crypto industry in general. Some users use Steemit's slow growth as justification for their lack of firm faith in the platform. Some believe that one unpleasant and indisputable part of Steemit they cannot stand is the cabal or not receiving support. For someone who has observed these, my arguments to them is that the potential of STEEM (the blockchain token) is greater than its shortcomings and that this is a significant victory, even though I tend to agree with them on most of the points I make. Cryptocurrency and Blockchain ventures created around them will be just as defective as all other financial systems in the world.
Can We Create a Technology Without Flaws?
There is no guarantee that we will be able to create a system free from greed, cruelty, and corruption just because we are creating the financial and technological infrastructure of the future. Human nature, the squabble for control and resources, as well as envy and jealousy, will all contribute to corruption. Blockchain and cryptocurrencies won't change this.
In spite of the fact that the revolution we're actually building won't alter or enhance human nature in any way, whether it happens in virtual reality or in the real world, blockchain technology and cryptocurrency will make things better because they allow people to own, build, and generate more lucrative opportunities for themselves.
We are powerless against bias, ass licking, FUD, and double standards. Rugging and scamming are problems, but we can build a balance that will give us something to cling to and combat them. I think we shouldn't totally discount pessimism, especially as it pertains to perhaps hive or crypto in general, but at the same time, we also shouldn't completely linger on it since it might prevent us from seeing potential.
Things Will Change With Steem Blockchain
Therefore, when it comes to the Steem blockchain, I think it would be crucial to build a large population where ordinary people will hold sizable stakes and collectively grow themselves and their projects in order to create a liberal population whose contributions and actions would be focused on expanding the hive.
Yet, despite issues and shortcomings with this ground-breaking technology (steem), I believe that things are gradually improving. We can develop excellent solutions to deal with the emotionally and financially troubling aspects of the projects we are constructing by striking a balance. It's crucial to realize how crucial balance is in the world of cryptocurrency.
For instance, the FTX saga has drastically affect cryptocurrency. It's possible that we haven't even started to feel the effects yet, but on the plus side, cryptocurrency will move forward with more stability now that projects with dubious intentions have been eliminated.
People will be more selective about the exchanges they deal with, their histories, past performance, and other factors. Some will opt for cold storage, while others will completely abandon CEXs in favor of DEXs.
Final Note
I have faith in blockchain technology and the complexity it brings; I think blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies will someday be able to perform feats that are currently unimaginable. I understand that for early adopters like us, a 20-year invention may seem like a long period, but it really isn't.
The Steem blockchain hasn't done badly and has survived one of its biggest challenges, but overall, I think everyone can decide to do better for themselves and the chain, especially when it comes to building a bigger and better universe for the numerous projects and people that we choose to build here in the near future.
Yes it is not possible to create a platform or system that will be free from corruption, flaws, and greed. We can try to get better and better versions from time to time but still some flaws will be there.
