Hello friends, some developers have submitted proposals to improve the Lightning blockchain network that consist of reputation systems for their nodes. in order to improve Lightning payment routing to make it a more efficient and faster network.
The Lightning blockchain works as a set of nodes that are interconnected that open payment channels. which said channels can also route payments from other nodes and can generate commissions for it.
When a payment channel suffers an interference attack, it can fail when trying to route a payment. For this reason it is important to find methods that prevent interference and minimize the possibility of failure to perform a transaction over the LN network.
For example, a user who is going to make a payment could configure the channel that he prefers and indicate that routing availability exists in the path to the receiving node.
Without a doubt, this would benefit the issuer of the payment, since the transaction would be more effective, successful and faster, of course, the fee would be higher, but the transaction would be faster and more efficient, which generates more profit for the payment validator node.
It often happens that there are payment channels that are shown as highly available but fail to route a payment in exchange for receiving a penalty to prevent channels that offer high performance when they do not have the necessary liquidity.
In conclusion
The proposal consists of establishing a set of variables that allow a node to evaluate the performance of another node which shares a payment channel, but this proposal is on hold since it needs approval from the other developers that make up the Lightning network for its implementation.
