Hello friends Bitcoin Core is a succession created by Satoshi Nakamoto and was named as Bitcoin 0.1 and launched on January 9, 2009 a few days after the genesis block appeared. When bitcoin core was introduced satochi nakamoto stated that the software was open source where anyone is free to use and code it.

After its launch, Nakamoto continued to collaborate in its development, modifying and fixing bugs in the code and proposing improvements, but at the end of 2010 Satochi Nakamoto disappeared and Gavin Andresen was appointed as the main developer.

In November 2011 Andresen changed the name of Bitcoin Core to Bitcoin QT. But Years later on March 19, 2014, it changed its title back to the original Bitcoin Core, due to the controversy that the name change caused.

How improvements are implemented in Bitcoin

When new versions of the software appear, it no longer depends on the developers, for that it depends more on the nodes that vote on the future of the network using the Bitcoin software version they want and as long as they have the support of the miners that want to adopt the new version.

If the majority of the miners use the version they want to keep, be it the new or the old version, then the network adopts the version that has the most active nodes with the software they are using and adapts to the rules and protocol of that version. . Then the networks are no longer compatible but remain on the main Bitcoin chain and the others fork. If this other chain has enough nodes and miners to support it, you can create your own cryptocurrency by operating on the bitcoin block chain.

Once the new software is discussed and studied, it is created on GitHub as a pull request and a formal draft, for community review. The draft is then sent to the BIP editors for approval, number and category assignment, and is integrated into the Bitcoin repository.

When new software is approved by publishers, it has to go through a thorough peer review phase, in which anyone can participate via GitHub and forums.
