I was busy setting up a seed node for steem. Finally, I have done, and pulled a request through the domain, A witness knew how to install/decompressed Steem data.
What is a seed Node?
These nodes allow witnesses to get all blockchain data and let them catch up quicker. The more seed nodes there are the easier it is for new witnesses to get started, who host a seed node and have the network in mind when doing so,
Our seed node has the same requirements as my witness node. 32 GB of RAM and a lot of power to spare I'm sure it's enough. we have planned to host it for a long time. this is the 1st Pakistani witness and seed node.
Seed node specs
- 8 vCPU Cores
- 30Gb RAM
- 800Gb SSD
- hosted in Germany

How to Start a Seed Node?

Configuration
cd steem-docker
cd data
cd witness_node_data_dir
nano config.ini
After all, is done change p2p-endpoint = 0.0.0.0:2001
I am currently not doing regular witness updates because I am busy building steemdapps. you can read more about our (@ponpase & @blockseater) idea. There are other great witnesses doing updates on what is happening. I also need all kinds of whales for their vote to actually get higher up in the ranks.
