My Monday fitness Drills

Every Monday morning is for fitness and so long as I am in my city of residence, I will always make myself available. Yes, I love fitness and I am deriving joy from it. Apart from instructing others, I am also instructing myself. I don't just give out programs but follow along as others are carrying out the programs I give out.

The programs I gave out for the day included side by side tap on cones, death lift and overhead lift. Jump squats to tap on cones, then aerobics and then stretches.

I got to the playground by 6:55 am and as I was trying to set the cones, @udylicious arrived. Yes, she is now part of my fitness group. She has fully registered. I told her to go jog and come back so that I can be able to set everything. She did and later came back. Both of us began the first program.

Side by side squat and touch and side cones

I placed 2 cones far apart, each one has 2 places sideways but far apart such that the member will have to beat the middle and move from side to side on toes, area h side, he or she will squat to touch the cones by the sides, then return to to touch the next one. We went that way for 20 repetitions for 10 sets for the first batch of the members that came early. Others did that just 5 sets and some didn't even do it because they met us doing other programs and decided to join that particular one.

It was strength sapping and helps with cardio, lower body strengthening.

weight lifting

Next, I set the barbell and dumbbells including some tires. I then gave out the program which was to death lift and at the same time do overhead with them.

When you death lift, you still raise the barbell or dumbbell up to overhead and return to death lift. 10 repetitions of 3 sets.

jump squats and come tap

I made everyone place a cone in front of them, then they spread their legs apart. Then jump up, then squat as they are landing on their toe and finally tap the cone with one hand and repeat the jump tap again. We did that in 20 repetitions for 4 sets. We did this together and rested at the end of each set to regain our strength.

Aerobics and stretches class

Next was aerobics and stretches. Yes, we arranged ourselves and did some aerobics programs, then stretches before I ended the day's class.

I do experience pain no doubt especially after each exercise day, but I get over the pains easily by not allowing it to stop me from doing things at home or running other errands. Neither will it stop me from exercising the next exercise day. I keep pushing because that is the only way to remain fit. Why not join us so that you won't learn the hard way. What I mean is that staying fit helps you enjoy your health both now and when you grow old. Feel the pains now than later in life.
