When it comes to love, money should not be a factor. If you intend to love purely, you see nothing but the person you love. Love is about giving of yourself, not gaining something for yourself. It’s the ‘give’ way, not the ‘get’ way. That’s how its nature works.

They say, love can’t feed you, but it does. Love is an action word, not an idea. If you love someone, you do everything you possibly can to earn, no matter how little, to give or help that someone. But, if you’re a person who finds it hard to love without getting stressed out due to lack of money, then by all means, go look for someone that could easily provide for you. Keep in mind though, that the most valuable things in the world have nothing to do with money.

However, there’s an important factor when it comes to love: honesty. In relationships, honesty is what constitutes a good foundation. If you are intentionally hiding your poverty to a person you profess to love, or who you think you love, I must say it's unacceptable not because of poverty itself but the lack of honesty with your beloved.

I have no problem with my lover being poor. Nowadays, poverty isn't necessarily a result of a lack of talent, skill, or intelligence. Many talented and intelligent individuals are not particularly successful in life, especially those who remain honest in their work. Honest toil is not always rewarded. And especially if you are a person with strong values, the system often has no use for you.

As the saying goes, the race is not always to the strong and smart; time and chance happens to us all. So, as long as my lover is not lazy, and though she may be poor, there’s not much to argue about. As long as she works hard for herself or others, and has a sense of humor, I don’t think there’s much more I could ask for.

Exactly the point: being poor is not a bad thing at all. But pretending to be rich is a terrible attitude...

And quite embarrassing too...
