"Does your country have a bride price for marriage?"
Yes girls are sold as brides in my country too.This is not a practice in our area but in northern areas of my country especially Pathan communities girls are not allowed to leave home and when they turn 18 they sell them for money and marry them.They are not even given education and they are deprived of their rights and they sell girls for money.I have also seen that many people from our area also go to this area and buy girls from there for marriage.
While in our region, a ritual similar to this is dowry.This is the money that the bride's family gives to the groom's family as a gift. In which there is money, home furniture and many people also give cars and motorcycles in it.
This is a social custom of my country which has been going on for years and no one has tried to change it but whenever I hear about it, it is a burden on the bride's family. Which they have to fulfill and I have noticed that many people do not marry their daughters until they are financially stable enough to afford the dowry.Due to dowry, there is a lot of pressure on the bride's family, a lot of money has to be spent on buying things that they don't have.
As for my personal opinion, I believe dowry or bride price shouldn't be a requirement for marriage. It can indeed become a burden, particularly for families with limited financial means.Through this ritual, women are treated as objects and this reinforces outdated concepts. I believe that marriage should be based on mutual respect love and understanding of both families rather than financial transactions.

As I mentioned above, the concept of bride price has been changed in our country. Here dowry is taken, which the bride's family has to buy and give to the groom's family which includes household furniture and gold.If I talk about myself, it is not so common in our family. Here, the bride's family takes the goods of their own accord, so I hope that my family will not be burdened at the time of my marriage.They can give whatever they want according to their will and ability.
