She was lost looking for her owner. Wandering down the road. It was very dangerous. Big trucks zooming by. About to rain. She must have been hungry also.
She came up to me so very friendly, snuggled against my leg and looked into my face. "Can you help me? I'm lost."
What to do? She had a collar and registration tag from the local animal hospital. I went into the house and tried to call but it was after hours and they would not be open until tomorrow. When I came out she had wandered very far down the road.
It struck me. We are all like this lost dog. If we meet someone who can connect us with our owner no more wandering around lost and in danger.
