The Ghost-Catching Squad

Once upon a time, in a small town, there was a group of five friends who loved to explore the supernatural and mysterious. They called themselves the "Ghost-Catching Squad."

One night, while playing in an abandoned mansion, the friends accidentally awoke a malevolent ghost. The ghost, furious at being disturbed, cursed the friends, promising to haunt them until they solved the mystery of its ancient curse.

The friends were scared, but they didn't want to let each other down. They decided to form a plan to catch the ghost and break the curse.

Using their knowledge of the supernatural, they gathered supplies such as garlic, holy water, and a Ouija board. They also brought a camera to record any strange occurrences.

The friends spent the next few days researching the history of the mansion and the ancient curse. They discovered that the ghost was once a powerful wizard who was buried alive when he refused to give up his secrets. The wizard's spirit remained trapped in the mansion, cursing all who entered.

On the night of the full moon, the friends returned to the mansion with their supplies. They set up a makeshift altar and began their séance. As they summoned the spirit of the wizard, the air grew thick with an icy chill.

The friends nervously fingered their Ouija board as they asked the questions they had prepared. Suddenly, the temperature dropped and a dark shape appeared in the corner of the room.

The friends held their breath as the ghost materialized before them. Its eyes blazed with anger as it loomed over them. Then, it spoke - a voice like a howling wind. "What do you want?" it demanded.

One of the friends, bravely responding, said, "We want to break your curse."

The ghost laughed wickedly and said, "You think you can help me? Very well, then. Release me from my prison if you can answer my riddle."

The friends conferred quickly and then one of them, a bookworm named Alex, spoke up. "What is it that lives in the sea but never swims? What is it that you cannot see in a mirror that is in front of you?"

The ghost was silent for a moment and then said, "You have spoken the truth. Fools! You have released me from my prison." With that, the ghost disappeared in a flash of light.

The friends were stunned but relieved. They packed up their things and left the mansion, never to return again.

As they walked away from the haunted mansion, they felt a sense of peace settle over them. They knew that they had accomplished something great and that their bravery had paid off.
