Silvertop waters batteries Lol!😇
Maintaining an off grid Solar powered home requires the regular service of deep cycle batteries.
Once a Month I pull the caps,and top up each battery cell with distilled water…….
For the twelve batteries I have, this usually takes a little over a quart of water for all batteries.
These batteries have been reliably supplying electricity to our home for 4 1/2 years…..
When I pulled the caps this morning most of the cells were extremely low on water!😮
That’s not a good sign, these batteries are at the end of their life……………
Thankfully our home is a hybrid, very similar to a Prius!😊
We run on Solar Power, but we also have “Grid Electricity” if needed.
One appliance at a time I switched each back to Grid Power……..
“ Alexa, are you there?”😮
“ I’m here Silvertop, I listen when I hear the “Wake” word!”😊
Well……….that’s good, Alexa switched right over to grid power!😇
“ I guess that’s all I can do for today Cot! We are 100% back on grid electricity, till we pick up new batteries this weekend, I’m going hiking……. Care to join Dad?
Cot didn’t seem to inclined….. he rolled over and went back to sleep Lol!😻
