Good day my dear steemians, hope you all are doing well, today is Friday with the tag #urano our activity today is recreation, I will be sharing with you all a recreational activity and pictures of a recreation site in my village.

Recreation is an activity done for relaxation and enjoyment at one's free time.
Recreation is important because it helps improve our physical health, mental health and also recreational activities give us an opportunity to meet other people and socialize

Last December, I visited my home-town(village) after a very long time, unlike in the city were I live, the village is less developed and still full of vegetation, there are little or no fun places and most people there are farmers. They spend most of their time working in their farms and have little concerns for fun

I found the place uninteresting and boring at first until I enquired from one of my friends in the village what recreational activity they engaged in, he told me quite a few things they do to relax but he mentioned that the best and most fun of them all was swimming in the village river.
I didn't know such a place existed in that village, it sounded interesting so I beckoned on him to take me there.
The next day in the afternoon, after he had come back from his farm work, he was going to the river to have a bath so he took me along with him.
The river was a small one but was indeed a great recreational center, other people had come to swim the river too.
he persuaded me to have a bath in the river , I refused at first but I later agreed and I must confess that I really enjoyed myself.

Even in the heat of the day , the river was so cool and soothing to the skin, It wasn't deep so I wasn't scared of drowning considering the fact that I didn't know how to swim. Here are some pictures I took that day

I really had fun that day, and I was so refreshed afterwards.
