Its nice to be back at Tattoo Steemit again.
I do apologize for neglecting my responsibilities bringing you great tattoo content. Ive been super slammed at work, some health shit and of course moving and settling in. Its been a helluva month to say the least.
Enough about me! Check it out:
Guy came in wanting to get some very old work covered up. Well, my colleauge knew the guy and had pretty much handed him off to me. It was honestly something I wanted to do so it worked out perfect.
1st session
4.5 hours
The original:
Holy shit this is bad. We've all made our tattoo mistakes and I will probably make a post about it someday. Either way, he needed help and wanted to get rid of it. I love a good challenge and this was right up my alley. The client was very generous in letting me freestyle and trust my direction on the piece.
No stencils:
Yup, hand drew this thing right on with some references I studied over a couple of days. I do Bonsai in real life so I have a passion for trees. I used a red sharpie to help create the form of the tree. After that it was just putting in some better guidlines to keep me on track. Needless to say the client was confused as you probably are looking at this.
Lined and Shaded
Again, this was a freestyle piece and I just went with the flow with it. The client was super happy with what we have accomplished so far and we have about 3 to 4 more sessions to do to finish off this half sleeve.
Thanks for checking out the work!
I will countinue to share the process of this piece on each session. I have him scheduled in May.
