Nature's Wonder: The Colors of Fall

in hive-152200 •  3 years ago

We have pretty much put the garden to sleep for the year, but that doesn't mean the eternal natural changes around us have stopped.

Fall is slowly turning into winter.

Not long ago, they were bright orange, but the leaves on the Japanese Maples are gradually browning and dropping.

A few leaves still cling to the Big Leaf Maples, but these days we mostly just see the bare tree trunks and branches.

The leaves are on the lawn below, surrounding our outdoor chairs. The chairs stay there all year long. On nice days in the winter, we might still sit there with blankets and a hot drink!

The rains have come, in earnest... and many days are just gray and misty all day long... water droplets hang on everything, and if you accidentally bump a branch, you'll get a cold shower.

Everywhere you look, there are signs of the inevitable decay of the year gone by. But these are also reminders that rebirth will come in spring, and the decay will fertilize the new growth, as the cycle continues.

Thanks for stopping by!

#Club5050 Footnote

I am going to try this #club5050 thing that's going around and see if I can't build this account a bit. Last few posts I've made I powered up pretty much all of the SBD rewards, but I think you get far more mileage for your money if you just convert the SBD to Steem directly, rather than doing 100% powered up posts, so that's what I am doing.
