Once upon a time there was a circus that decided to choose the most beautiful animal in the place, so they held a contest to determine the most beautiful face of the animals.
They lined up to compete: the elephant, the horse, the tiger, and suddenly the monkey arrived and went ahead of everyone else and took the stage saying
-Give me the prize. -Where are you going to find a more beautiful face than this one?
Everyone present began to laugh, including the judges who did not understand how the monkey thought that his face, devoid of all beauty, could win the contest.
After a few minutes of being teased by everyone.
The monkey understood that his self-esteem had deceived him and that he was not as beautiful as he thought.
He got off the stage and left.
This is an event that happens to many of us, we stop being objective and start letting our vanity speak for itself, leaving us ashamed.
That is why it is good to know our strengths and weaknesses, defects and virtues without deceiving ourselves.
