Can you use AI?

The answer is yes and we all do on this platform and in our daily lives since Steemit doesn't run without the help of AI.
When you signed up for Steemit, a bot sent an email (or not), and you were welcomed underneath your first entry by a bot (that red robot), and if you vote for certain witnesses again bots show up to promote (not because you are read and someone left a personal comment to tell you what you wrote is a delight to read)..

AI can be a great tool.
Justin Sun said AI will show on Steemit, let's see what the surprise will be and if it has to do with the posting part or the investing one.

From Prehistory to the Future with AI

a 10 hour history course
@frafiotamale writes a series about AI worth reading

Anger about AI abuse

The anger, and at times misunderstanding, is not about the use of AI but the abuse and laziness with the idea to post quickly and the expectations to be rewarded with a fat bonus. No, this is not about a generated picture but about text. It may be clear that you should write yourself if you join a WRITING contest. If it comes to communities it depends on the rules set.

Upvotes

Can AI-written text be upvoted? Yes, this is possible. You can vote or receive a vote but the policy of the Steemit Team is not to support bots but humans, those who invest time and are willing to share their creativity on this platform.

Hi. I'm on a break and there's an idea I'd like to share with you, so you tell me if it's a good, or bad one.
I have been reading as much as I can in the languages I am able to read without a translator, (only to have access to the original wording, so I can better understand the quality of the speech. I have nothing against the translators or translated texts, on the contrary). As I read more and more, I am permanently amazed that there are authors and texts that absolutely merit commercial publication and, yet, the texts get buried under the 7 day economical development window and stop being voted for, commented on and stop giving income to the authors as the community moves on to buzybee around the posts that are less than 7 days old. I see that as a wasted opportunity, wasted income, and wasted chances to get really good writers and creations to wider audiences that don't even know these pearls exist.
I would like to propose a contest for authors to submit the older posts that they think are worth it and edit a book with those texts, making it available in kindle and paper form and making the revenues return to the platform, spreading 50% of any income among the authors and the other 50% straight into a fund to finance writing contests. I would also be selecting texts I find amazing and inviting their authors to letting us publish them.
I believe this would not only be a great way to motivate good writers, but also to publicize the platform to a wider audience of interested readers and writers.
What do you feel about this?
Is it an idea you would be keen on supporting?
Mind you: I will gladily have someone else, like one of the top curators take care of the money issue and will put all the work of editing and getting the product out there. Of course, I'll always be grateful for any help, but I can guarantee, by my own effort, that it will be done to an excellent quality standard.
let me know...

In the old days we had Steem Bounty and if you used that a post could always be upvoted.
Right now the (Korean?) witness works on EverSteem an app with which you also can always upvote posts so everything we had will be back.

You know weisser-rabe is working on a book with stories written in the community?

In the old days the freewriters published two books all with stories written by freewriters. The first was available as a paper book and kindle, the second I assume as well. I only bought the first one.

I am not sure what you like the bundle and what the book will be like. If these are short stories I will support is and you are free to host something in the freewriters.

I am not sure if you can ask an SC to pay for what doesn't exist. My suggestion is to start and show something good first before begging om money. That's what I think. Also it should be that every shitty post is published in that book.

Perhaps stories with a theme. Also important is that there's no AI text how to be sure that isn't published? A mix with poetry can be greatas well (I love stories, fables written as a poem).

I don't need any SC to pay for anything. It costs nothing to publish a book, just work. What I said about managing the money is about the income, not the cost. I will get in contact with @weisser-rabe first, though, because I don't want to overstep or compete with anything she is already doing, and there might be a possibility that we cooperate on that project if the goals are similar.
And, yes, it will be all about short stories.
I'll be keeping you posted.
As I have been obviously too busy today, tomorrow will be the day I will be asking lots of questions about MonkeyBusiness.
Have a great evening,
Pedro

No competition, Pedro, don't worry. I had different ideas and all of them formally ground on a community of authors. I had chosen the best 50 Keyword posts from a defined time frame - and the problem is: most of the autors became inactive. No legal way for me to rule a copyright treatment... It's a long way to finish.

Ok. No worries, then. I'll prepare the rules for my publication and get a move on it. I believe that something to that effect needs to be done in order to motivate a few of our writers and maybe it will help getting a few more in.

Cool! Thanks.

Well, I think AI already on steemit 🤦 I was typing in Bahasa to create a post, but somehow in the preview box.. the words appeared in English 😳 I typed fotografi, but the preview box show "photography"

I typed internisti, then on the preview box internist 🤦 what the heck was going on😳 alright, my browser was Microsoft explorer and it's equipped with co-pilot. But I didn't activated the co-pilot for my steemit posting. That's why I cleared up the drafts I made a few days ago. It doesn't feel right. So, I have no choice but to type in English or later Bahsa Aceh (my ethnic language).

Perhaps, the AI on steemit is not related to the posting create thingy.

I see nothing if it comes to AI but it depends on the browser you use. I have two different browsers on my phone and both show the Steemit site differently. With one I can never see the blog and replies doesn't show.

I'll try with chrome and brave later.. gotta use laptop. Because my steemmobile is fine, without any grammarly attached. So, it's quite comfortable to make my post unique.
