Lately I focus more on Art & Artists and not only on Steemit but also in real life. Right now one beloved friend needs me and because of him I am in contact with the contact person of an artist I intend to write about later. Not here but in the community I just mentioned.

If you visit the community Art & Artists you will notice that there are artists who introduced themselves but don't seem to return. It can be they are not the artists the community needs, they are busy, don't feel too well or are not in the mood to promote themselves. Promoting oneself is not the same as doing a craft. Still, it has to be done by the artist himself (or herself).

Does it make me sad that the community doesn't grow fast? The answer is no. There's no need to attract people who don't fit in and are not willing to invest in themselves and there's also no need to offer golden mountains since they don't exist from my side. At this moment I am the only one who grows it with what I earn by writing which isn't much. The big upvotes for artists should be the result of own work right now and... engagement. Engagement is the only way to be noticed. Unfortunately, the average SC is like the average Steemian or person offline who is not very interested in art. Nevertheless, I am confident the community will grow strong even if Steemit can't appreciate it.

@tezzmax started scribble lessons

and Lesson 2 just ended.
This weekend (November 9/10, 2024) the next lesson can be expected. If you like to give scribbling a try have a look at Lesson 1 and 2 and who knows you are a scribble talent. There's no need to make a post since the "homework" is posted in the comment section so you can focus on scribbling and also see in one glance what the other entries look like and what is discussed. Don't worry if your result isn't as great as you hoped for. What counts is that you have fun and scribbling can be of great help if you like to relax (draw for about 20 minutes per day is the advice but you can also scribble or doodle for 10 minutes and fill a page).

Activities?
Right now I am less active on Steemit but I divide my time the best I can but engagement is on a lower level which isn't such a problem since my Telegram is silent again and my notifications are reduced. Right now I also prefer to freewrite and work a bit more behind the screens (comment contests are where you can find me, they are the best places to engage) and next to that, I do fieldwork related to art and artists.

A good, creative weekend to all.

Maybe you're expecting too much. It's been a month or two and I think that kind of stuff needs to grow organically. I wish I could be a bigger help but I have been falling apart in all sorts of ways and barely keep it together. I'll try to be more active in the forseeable future but I feel like going on a vision quest.

We would love to always have you around.
Vision quest? What's that?

Heh, the vision quest part was hyperbole, but as far as I know it's an native american thing where someone finds themselves at the crossroads and embarks on a spiritual journey to figure things out. Or rather until they receive some kind of guiding vision triggered by intentional hardship. Something along those lines.

Oh okay.

We shall definitely grow organically.
A good and creative weekend to you too.
