It is a week ago I wrote about botto.steem the tool that can help you on Steemit if it comes to scheduling posts, setting up a fanbase and there are some other things like "delegating your SP", automatically upvote yourself and who knows what more.
I set for my accounts an auto upvote and it was cancelled several times during this year because of issues. As it ran again it started to live its own life.
One account looked quiet till the moment it started upvoting the same person over and over again (15 times within a short time although the max was set at 2 times per day).
The other account with the same setting ran something else. It kept upvoting Steemians (mainly the people) as soon as I had a bit more SP but it never reached VP 80 and always used the same percentage (75%). Both settings I never set and I checked it before I disabled the fanbase and so on in botto.steem.
My complaints were ignored although I did mention several people and looked for help elsewhere so I had to post again (I did with a different account) and left several comments behind. Finally, help arrived after about 1 week. At that time I changed the keys to my accounts and botto.steem was already disabled for several days.
The golden tip was given by 2 witnesses
@steemchiller (who created steemworld.org) and @moecki, thank you (both deserve my votes).
The tip in short:*
Go to: https://steemworld.org/account-authorities and deactivate whatever is activated.
Someone answered my comment in @steem.botto. If you can read you know that there was indeed something wrong with the bot although it felt as if at first a game was payed with me being the stupid one.
Later @xpilar showed and although it was made clear what the problems are (problems indeed not one but several) it was said that the bot indeed has a bug and the option to upvote comments is deleted.
It sounds to me like this isn't the solution to my other problems. I doubt upvoting comments is the reason since before it worked fine and the case is also that the one who received 15 upvotes most likely hadn't posted something new at that time.
Unsolved problems not answered
- Scheduled post that are never posted
- The bot kept upvoting the same people with a percentage I never set. Why only those people and no one else in my fanbase?
Till now I didn't receive an answer only the request to contact via Discord. Up till now, there's no one and no reason given so I wait and will check once in a while if my "friend request" will be accepted and what the reason is for these bugs.
Will I use botto.steem again?
I don't think so. The fact that there is no "customer service", no one around who will investigate, problems are ignored and a bug is "solved" by removing an option makes me feel that there's no team fixing anything or able to make the bot run in a proper way. I find it very hard to believe that I am the only one noticing that there's something wrong. Am I? I don't think so (proof you can read in the comment section of the links).
