It's time for a chit-chat, you know that moment many gossip with or without a mug of coffee.
It became quiet in SCB the Chat Topic Community of Steemit and those who said they would share some topics are busy or silent. It's good you still have me. If you wonder or have questions, please, look at the Topics. I try to update when I can and add links to posts. Those links do not all refer to texts I wrote the idea is to add others' as well. (If you have a link share it so the post can be esteemed or added to a topic.)
Steemit
The steemit site has become better, and more user-friendly for mobile phone users and the witnesses are worth a look at. If you are satisfied they deserve some support (already figured out who does what?)
#learnwithsteem might help you forward (SEC no longer exists but commenting is still needed. It was good to see #wewrite alive again.
Curator (SC)
Team "True Colours" still curates (SC07). It's me and @aneukpineung78 being teammates and finishing September. We both like what we do and it's good to work with someone who wonders and questions and likes to show some numbers different from the rest and an eye for the hidden facts.
I daily write (comment/answer/reply) which isn't always easy since I also spend many hours reading. Unlike what I thought I didn't come to watch many films during the Christmas days (I blame the cat for his kidney failure and the extra cleaning/laundry for that). Altogether, I had a great December without any rush, and although it was freezing the sunshine was present for a few hours, just like some creative people on this platform who brightened my days. Thank you Steemians for your creativity and great chats this month and 2024.
Bots, Hacks, Scam
What a year we had. It feels as if every month accounts are hacked, there are abusive communities/SCs, plagiarism, bots with issues and more to deal with. The question "why" will not be answered but I noticed the worst abusers are still around and some are rewarded very well (Some can cry and it helps while others will never be able to post a letter without a downvote). It would be good if we all would understand that it's not cool to scam, spam, hack, and what you need to survive! My tip: Think before you act!
It's my guess whatever happened is every month the same and December is not different meaning the Christmas spirit doesn't count for those who did it which is kind of a pity but no matter how we see it Steemit is not different from the offline world.
Who to blame for the scams/farming?
If you ask me it's everyone who promotes this platform as the place to make a super income and yes the entire year on I heard this message over and over again. What everyone knows is that those who count on a certain income will change their lifestyle and it will be hard to put a hold on the expenses. Saying: This is enough, I have enough, might be a goal to set for 2025. The positive side me also be that Steemit will be a more relaxed platform to be where you build in time to chat with people.
Booming Upvotes
It is a great initiative (like voting by SCs) but here the same happens: corrupt ADMs, MODs, and Communities (only 22 give booming votes). I have strong doubts the communities involved in this scam didn't know. The responses are lame if they answer at all. It makes me wonder but can be this is a culture difference why we believe to deal with a bunch of liars.
Pity/charity?
I wrote not too long ago I no longer pity people easily so you can read me (comments/posts) and find the answers you are looking for. If not it's fine too but know that for those who read posts and comments and follow threads, it's not difficult to find out what is going on and who is involved with whom.

I changed my policy. I vote if I have time and if I like what I read or believe someone deserves a vote or a bit of encouragement. Is it always noted, or liked? I have no idea since I rarely hear a response. Indeed I do vote the same person more than once if I believe that vote is deserved even though my CSI will not be high (so be it but a CSI of 79 if the voting reward at 100% is 0.00 $ is very doubtful).
Lately, I also delegated to the Community Art & Artists and three artists as well.
I read, saw, learned, shared a lot, more than planned and there are no achievements set for 2025. I wish those who read this the best for the new year, a year where we hopefully stop fighting and will join hands since if it comes to it we all want the same: Steemit to last as long as we live.

Creo que las estafas por acá van a estar siempre presentes, eso es inevitable, creo que muchos piensan que por ese lado les va bien, ellos piensan que por el lado malo pueden sacar más provecho, el mal sobre el bien, algo que nunca termina.
Lo malo es saber que algunos que actúan mal reciben ese gran apoyo de las cuentas curadoras, eso sí decepciona muchísimo, esperemos eso si acabe algún día, estamos entrando a un nuevo año, ojalá eso haga los cambios necesarios.

Sí, la estafa forma parte de la vida y de la naturaleza humana. Es tan antigua como los primeros humanos que pisaron la tierra. Estoy de acuerdo en que la estafa y el delito son rentables y, mientras esto sea así, será difícil luchar contra ellos.

Hi Kitty, it is a nice summary for your activities and also a reflection for 2024. It take a lot of time and effort when you want to do something properly and usually that takes this time form our family. That is why I am trying to spend more time with my fmaily now, so that they feel that it is not only my work and steemit activities are important.
The life is so that everywhere and almost all the time will be people who would like to cheat and trick the system, or people. I stopped wondering about that. We are seeing those people everywhere on Instagram, Facebook and here. It is just human nature.

Thank you for your nice answer and sharing your thoughts. I can honestly say I learned and saw a lot even if I sat in my chair or lay in bed. All good to keep my mind busy, wondering which is good for my brain and the welcome inspiration if it comes to writing.

I wish you a super great time with the family in Germany you had a very busy year and are right there should be room for quality time not work and hobbies only (or the battery will be empty and spoil your nights).
Me and the cat (still alive even climbed the tree for the second time) enjoy ourselves. My son needed a holiday after years (school + work never a free day). We celebrate when we like and the daily talks continue no matter where we are (includes if he's him shopping 🤣). Thanks fir a the taljs, help and valuable advice.

Hey Buddy, how are you doing, trust me I always follow your post though I might not say anything. Talking about tricks ans scam I don't know why to say about it because I think the reason why they engage in it is to fir their financial benefits. Just recently there was a hot disagree though I want online that period about steemit users. In Nigeria practicing plagiarism. How many people? But why is it affecting all the Nigerian. Can't we just deal with the culprit and leave the innocent ones off this. Just recently it's very hard to steemit who are newcomers in Nigeria to get support, they are discouraged. I know we're not here only for the money but we need it. At least lest do the right thing and everyone will be happy.
