Save water (and money)

In my journey to learn how to take care of the environment, I have often heard of saving water.

It didn't seem like such a difficult thing, yet I recently went to a friend's house.

Their daughter, a 16-year-old girl, entered the bathroom, announcing that she was going to shower. So she turned on the water, the phone rang and she went to her room.

I could hear water pouring from the open bathroom door, and no one cared. As if it didn't matter.

I am very familiar with this friend and therefore I told her that perhaps it was better to turn off the water. So she thought about it and called her daughter back, who went to close it.

Many gestures, for some people are normal, but others find it difficult to put them into practice.

Basically, here it's not even a question of saving water, but of not wasting it, which are two similar but different things.

In fact, to save water I could decide not to wash the car so often or to do the washing machines at full load to optimize resources.

But leaving the taps running is a total waste. The same happens when you brush your teeth.

It goes without saying that it is also a waste of money, which is very important anyway.

What do you think? Do you mind how much water do you use?
