Hello friends welcome to my today's creative writing on habit. In the course of this writing am going to dwell on habit, forms of habit, causes of habit and on how to stop habit.
Definitions
Habits are activities in practice by someone over time that has gradually becomes part of the person's life sometimes very difficult to stop if want to.
Habit is a behaviour, It could be good or bad behaviour in the life of people and not always easy to stop if it's bad ones.
Bad habits is bad character, attitude, behaviour and mood unacceptable to the majority of people.
Bad habits can hinder one's progress, development, association, achievement and general well-being of a person.
Note:
this write-up is not condemning
or against intake of anything or any behaviour or attitude of anyone but specifically concerned on when they have become bad that the person himself or herself is even looking for a means to stop them.
Forms of habit
There are various forms of habit but to mention a few such as anger, alcohol intake, smoking, drugs addict, promiscuity, fighting, grumbling/complaining, eating habits, thinking, perception, reactions, Idiosyncracy, sleeping habits, walking, talking, etc.
Anger
People loose opportunities out of anger, anger is impatience, it can lead to over reacting. Anger can be deadly, it can cause fight, regret, lost of job, friends, anger can damage reputation, anger can cause war.
Some remedies to anger
Therefore anyone in habit of anger needs a change like admitting to others suggestions on matters, admitting they are wrong when they are, train and retrain oneself on how to be patient, don't be dogmatic, read articles/storeys that can induce happiness or involved in anything that can work on your happiness.
Alcohol intake
People excessively, take various intoxicating drinks to the extent it has affected there mood and behaviour abhorred by the nearby people especially it radiate odour and smell. One in habit of alcohol can loose genuine friends and jobs especially when it has affected the mental normal function.
Some remedies to alcohol intake habit.
It's of two ways, that one wants to stop it completely or incompletely depending on the level of damage.
First reduce the amount intake, practice eating of food and other things in replacement of the appetite.
Go for medical counseling and rehabilitation.
Stay or keep away from such friends or associates.
Promiscuity
An excessive desire to have sex, it can make unable to go far in life, it can cause contraction of disease, unprepared pregnancies, lose of opportunities, school dropout, early marriage etc.
Some remedies to promiscuity
Get a job to keep yourself busy, stay or keep away from any sexual inducement scene, join religious organisations, marry etc.
Sleeping habits
This can affect people's activities especially timing, eg. Attending to functions such as school, meeting, work, and everything that has to do with time. The way one sleeps makes cause waking late and subsequently late to the activities of the day.
Some Remedies
Train and retrain oneself on timing waking hours, indulge in every morning physical exercise.
Conclusion
habit is dangerous, deadly if it's bad ones and can be stopped by putting the afformationed remedies into practice.
