Digital literacy is an important provision for students to face the era of the Industrial Revolution. It is time for students and students to understand and utilize digital literacy to be able to master public spaces in the Industrial Revolution era which is marked by digital disruption.
So that later, graduates of Islamic boarding schools are not only capable in the religious field, but also have skills in Information Technology.
Digital literacy is also the ability to use information and communication technology (ICT) to communicate content/information with cognitive and technical skills.
Digital literacy is then more associated with technical skills in accessing, compiling, understanding, and disseminating information.
The influence of digital technology in the world of education has also been felt for a long time. Teaching and learning activities are no longer carried out conventionally in the form of face-to-face in class, but can also be done online. Reference sources not only from books, ebooks and the internet can also be alternative reference materials. Changes in culture / behavior of society due to the influence of information technology is then referred to as the era of disruption.
