Everyday is like a opportunity to us and we should never waste that , we should not live in the past but in the present and focus more on what we can get rather than what we could have get.
Being upset and regretting all the time is also not good , if your regrets can't help you become a better version of you then they are actually equal to nothing.

When we lose a simple game and regret losing it , we start thinking about new techniques to be used so that we can win the very next time we play it.
Here our regret helps us to rethink and become a better version of ourself , and this regret becomes useful for our life.

For me , I think we should first of all identity whether the regret can actually help us become a better version or not.
People who don't respect their parents throughout their life and one day when their parent die , they regret about not respecting them.
But this regret will not help them now as they cannot respect their parents again, they are gone and won't come back to life on this planet. So at most you can only teach others from this type of incidents of your life.
But things like failing in maths and then you regretting practicing less can actually help you and then you can start practicing maths more and become good in maths.
