Bireuen KIP Holds Public Debate for Bireuen Regent and Deputy Regent Candidate Pairs in the 2024 Election.

The Independent Election Commission (KIP) of Bireuen Regency held a Public Debate for Bireuen Regent and Deputy Regent Candidate Pairs in the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada). The activity took place at the Wisma Bireuen Jaya Hall, Bireuen, Monday 11/18/2024.

The Public Debate was attended by three pairs of candidates (Paslon) for Bireuen Regent and Deputy Regent for the 2024-2029 period.

The three candidate pairs were the Murdani Yusuf-Abdul Muhaimin pair number 1, the Husaini Amin-Husaini Franco pair number 2 and the Mukhlis-Razuardi pair number 3.

The aim of this debate was to sharpen the vision and mission of each candidate pair as an educational event for the public in the simultaneous Pilkada.

The three panelists in this debate were the Rector of UNIKI Bireuen, Prof. Dr. Apridar SE MS, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Syiah Kuala University, Dr. Iskandar A Gani and Vice Dean II of the Faculty of Law, USK, Amiruddin.

The atmosphere of the public debate was lively, calm and peaceful. The supporters of the candidate pairs also gave applause to each candidate.

Meanwhile, outside and inside the room were tightly guarded by joint security forces from the Indonesian National Army (TNI) and the Indonesian Republic Police (Polri) in full uniform and security forces from the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP).

This debate was also broadcast live via live streaming, Instagram KIP Bireuen, and Youtube Serambinews.com.

The first public debate carried the theme Bireuen as a Center for Productive, Orderly, Fair, and Sustainable Islamic Civilization.
